No one bats an eyelid anymore about plastic surgery or Photoshop to change one’s looks, but how about a face that constantly changes in real-time, and isn’t physical at all?

Japanese media artist Nobumichi Asai collaborated with a talented team of digital image engineers and make-up artists to project a host of futuristic and ethereal looks, using face tracking and mapping technology. That means the looks aren’t digitally-added after filming, and are happening in real-time.

The results are amazing and out of this world, bringing to mind sci-fi films like Miniority Report and The Matrix Trilogy. Our favourite look is the one which reminds us of the Silver Surfer. Watch the video below:
