There he goes again. Luis Suarez, writing his name into sports infamy, moments of glory clouded by his WTF moments of stupidity.

Just hours ago, the Uruguay striker was alleged to have snapped a bear trap he calls teeth onto the shoulder of Italy’s Georgio Chiellini.

As the team celebrated in a circle on the field after knocking the Italians out of the World Cup finals, he stood there on the sideline knowing that, if found guilty by FIFA, he could face a 24-match ban and miss the rest of the World Cup entirely. With that much time on his hands, he should find work as an extra with AMC’s The Walking Dead.

His on-pitch hunger pangs are nothing new, and within moments, Twitter went into creative and sardonic overdrive. So we’ve compiled our favourites for you.

Mean tweets? Jimmy Kimmel should revel in this one, The Walking Dead just found a new extra and Cesar Millan just found himself a new client.

Previous Suarez antics:

July 2010: Handles on the line to deny Ghana a winner in the last minute of extra time in the World Cup quarter-finals. Asamoah Gyan misses the resulting penalty and Uruguay win the shoot-out to reach the semi-finals
November 2010: Given seven-match ban for biting PSV Eindhoven’s Otman Bakkal on the shoulder while playing for Ajax
December 2011: Given eight-match suspension and fined £40,000 for racially abusing Manchester United’s Patrice Evra
February 2012: Refuses to shake hands with Evra at Old Trafford and is described as a “disgrace” by Sir Alex Ferguson
April 2013: Apologises for his “inexcusable behaviour” after biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic and receives a 10-game ban
