The “cherry” just popped for the world of skateboarding and Supreme clothing.

Premiered by Supreme on March 19 at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, “cherry” is a 38-minute skate oeuvre by New York-based videographer and film director William Strobeck, and marks Supreme’s first full-length skate film.

You’ll know what to expect with Strobeck at the helm, the director having introduced us to other visual trips such as Scooter, Stud and the skateboardless voyeuristic gazer for Opening Ceremony, Where’s Bambi, featuring Chloe Sevigny. Damn, and not to mention Photosynthesis and Mosaic which epically altered the minds of skate geeks everywhere.

Strobeck’s and Supreme’s new film is raw, beautiful and it features a wicked list of rookies, friends, family and future stars such as Na-Kel Smith, Kevin Bradley, Sage Elsesser, Tyshawn Jones, and Sean Pablo. There are even cameos by Tyler The Creator, veteran Mark Gonzalez, Reese Forbes and many others.

It’s Supreme’s first full-length skate film in its 20-year history, so it’s a no-brainer to part with about US$20 for this DVD, which comes with a photo book documenting the making of the feature. It’ll also be available on iTunes on March 27.

SPEND: The "cherry" DVD comes with a photo book. How generous.
